LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Megan Zabel tells LBREPORT.com that at about 9:30 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred in the 6900 block of Paramount Blvd. where a female employee exiting a market was robbed at gunpoint.

PIO Zabels says the employee (the victim) was carrying the business' cash and checks on her way to make a bank deposit. The employee reported the loss as $3,000 in cash and $20,000 in checks.

The victim wasn't injured and the suspects left with the loss.

The suspects are described as two male Blacks, both wearing ski masks, and left the crime scene in a newer black Chevrolet Camero with paper plates.

A vehicle matching that description was stopped in the area of the 91 fwy/Bellflower Blvd but it wasn't the suspect vehicle or suspects.
