(Nov. 2, 2014, 8:55 p.m.) -- Following up on reports on our front page in real time on LBREPORT.com, LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Brad Johnson says that a suspect -- who he indicates had a "no bail" felony warrant -- was taken into custody by LBPD SWAT officers this afternoon (Nov. 2) in the South Wrigley area of PCH/Daisy Ave. (west of Magnolia Ave.)

Area residents indicate PD activity was visible shortly before noon and continued through the afternoon with streets blocked off and traffic redirected.

Details are sketchy but from what was visible, the incident had the earmarks of a barricaded suspect situation.

Shortly before 4:00 p.m., multiple area residents reported hearing a loud "boom"...and about an hour later, the police perimeter was lifted and streets were reopened.

In just weeks, the neighborhood north along nearby Daisy Ave. will be turned into LB's "Christmas Tree Lane" with celebrations and a parade.
