SCAQMD Schedules "Mystery Stink" Town Hall Meeting Tues. Nov. 18, 6 p.m., Golden Sails Hotel In Long Beach

Promises update on air quality issues re recent odor complaints in coastal areas of LB and nearby; will include opportunities for public comment, Q & A


(Nov. 12, 2014) -- Following-up on stories reported on LBREPORT.com [and an LBREPORT.com action editorial], the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) has scheduled a Town Hall meeting -- Nov. 18, 6 p.m., Golden Sails Hotel, 6285 E. PCH) -- "to provide an update on air quality issues related to recent odor complaints in the coastal areas of Long Beach and neighboring communities."

The agency invites the public to attend the meeting which "will feature:

  • Information on local air quality Issues

  • Opportunities for public comment, questions and answers

The meeting is scheduled for:

Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 6 p.m.

6285 E. Pacific Coast Highway
Long Beach, CA 90803
Spanish translation will be provided.
