Assault w/ Deadly Weapon (Not Firearm) At 54th Place/Ocean Blvd. Prompts LBPD East Division Personnel To Meet With Nearby Residents In Coming Week

(Nov. 28, 2015) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that an assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm) in the area of Ocean Blvd. at 54th Place (which swings northwest, connects with Bay Shore Ave. at "Horny Corner") -- has prompted LBPD East Division personnel to attend a small meeting with neighborhood residents in the coming week to discuss area crime trends, apparently including what took place.

We have few details of the physical assault. LBPD PIO Marlene Arrona indicates the victim was a man (adult); he sustained injuries but wasn't transported by LBFD; the weapon involved may have been a baseball bat; LBPD's investigation remains ongoing. [LBREPORT.com notes the area is near Bayshore Aquatic Playground Park but we don't know if it's related.]

If you know what took place: of course let LBPD know first, then kindly email us at mail@LBReport.com.

The meeting is apparently meant mainly for immediate area residents so we're not publishing location/time in advance, but we're separately looking into what happened. Further as we learn it.
