What's This? Scheduled Dec. 15 City Council Hearing On "Requests" Related to Proposed Civic Center Project

(Nov. 24, 2015) -- LBREPORT.com noticed the following "reminder" listed near the end of the Dec. 1 Council agenda.

HEARING REMINDER:

Tuesday, December 15, 2015 -- Hearing to consider requests related to the proposed Long Beach Civic Center project. (Districts 1,2)

We asked LB's Development Services Dept. spokesperson: What is/are the subject matter(s) of the requests? Since this pertains to the Civic Center, the spokesperson forwarded our inquiry to Mike Conway, Director of Economic and Property Development. Mr. Conway provided us with the following response:

The subject matter of the requests will be included in the release of the agenda package which will occur on the standard timeline.

LBREPORT.com notes that on Nov. 17 at 4:00 p.m., the Council went into a session closed to the public and press to discuss what was agendized as "real estate transaction terms" regarding a property description covering the proposed Civic Center transaction (citing CA Gov't Code section 54956.8) Councilmembers emerged from the closed session about 5:35 p.m.
