(Nov. 20, 2016, 9:50 a.m.) -- For the second Saturday night in a row, Long Beach demonstrators protesting President-elect Donald Trump marched along sidewalks from Bixby Park to downtown Long Beach and returned along Broadway to the park on Nov. 19. Roughly 100 people (our very rough estimate) carried signs (most appeared hand-made, some professionally printed) and chanted slogans (some led by individuals using bullhorns.)

And the organizers' Facebook page ("Long Beach United Against Trump -- Rally & March in Unity and Peace" at this link.) indicates they plan to do it again next Saturday night Nov. 26.

The signs included included (appeared hand-made) "Dump Trump"; "Love Trumps Hate"; "Education, Not Deportation"; and "Sorry for the inconvenience; we are trying to change the world." Several equated Trump with Fascism: "Our grandparents fought Fascism; now it's our turn"; "Do not normalize Fascism"; and "In the name of humanity, we refuse to accept a Fascist America" [the latter appeared professionally printed and listed "www.revcom.us" which lists itself as "The voice of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA."]

The chants included: "No Trump, no KKK, no Fascist USA"; "Hey hey, ho ho, Donald Trump has got to go" and "This is what democracy looks like."
