(November 26, 2016, 10:15 a.m.) -- A terrifying home invasion occurred in the predawn hours Saturday (Nov. 26) along Del Amo Blvd. (east of LB Blvd. and about half a mile west of LBPD's North Division police station) in the 8th Council district.
LBPD Public Information Officer Marlene Arrona tells LBREPORT.com (preliminary information) that at roughly 3:41 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 200 block of E. Del Amo Blvd. after a citizen's call reported multiple subjects jumping a neighbor's fence and making entry into the residence through a window. PIO Arrona says arriving officers quickly detected movement in the residence and set up a containment perimeter. One man (adult) exited from a 2nd story window and told officers that an unknown number of suspects were inside the home along with several residents...with at least two of the residents tied-up in some way. Due to a potential hostage situation, LBPD activated its SWAT unit. LBPD subsequently arrested three men (adults) without incident. Five adult residents and one juvenile resident were rescued; two of the adults suffered minor injuries; one was transported to a hospital...and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
