(Nov. 22, 2017, 11:20 a.m., text updated 3:30 p.m.) -- At about daybreak Friday morning (Nov. 24), a man (adult) was found shot in the 600 block of East Shoreline Dr. (from the address we estimate near the downtown Marina.)

Initial information is sketchy. Officers were dispatched to the area at about 6:25 a.m. to a report of a person with a gunshot wound; officers located the victim and LBFD transported him to a hospital (condition not immediately available.)

The reason for the shooting isn't currently known...and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
