UPDATE: Seven Vehicles (Which Include two LBTRansit Buses) Involved In Chain Of Collisions At Bellflower/Spring

(UPDATED Nov. 30, 2017, 7:20 a.m.) -- In updated information, LBPD tells LBREPORT.com that a total of seven vehicles -- which included two LBTransit buses -- were involved in a chain of collisions on Nov. 28 collision at Bellflower Blvd./Spring St.

LBPD Public Information Officer Arantxa Chavarria tells LBREPORT.com:

On 11/28/17, at approx., 12:25 pm, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Spring and Bellflower regarding an injury traffic collision involving a Long Beach Transit Bus and Multiple vehicles.

Upon arrival officers found that a Long Beach Transit bus was traveling southbound on Bellflower at Spring on a green light when it was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Spring Street. As a result of being hit the bus driver lost control and crossed over the median and struck 5 vehicles and another Long Beach Transit bus that were just starting to move northbound on Bellflower Blvd.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the bus was driven by an 84 year-old female. She suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

There were seven passengers on the bus that was hit originally and one of those passengers a male adult was transported to a local hospital with complaint of pain.

Bellflower Blvd was closed down for a couple hours as a result of the collision. The investigation is ongoing
