(Nov. 17, 2017) -- A horrifying home invasion robbery took place on Wednesday night Nov. 15 in LB's Bluff Heights neighborhood.

LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Brad Johnson tells LBREPORT.com (preliminary information) that on Nov. 15 at about 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a "shots fired" call in the 300 block of Obispo Ave. where officers learned that an armed robbery had occurred at a residence. The suspects, described as possible male Hispanics, allegedly knocked on the door, identified themselves as law enforcement, forced entry and a struggle ensued.

A victim (age/gender not provided) was pistol whipped and a gun was fired...with no one hit.

LBFD responded, treated the victim at the scene...and the suspects fled before officers arrived.

The reason for the robbery is currently unknown...and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
