Vice Mayor Colonna, Who Intro'd Sept. CSULB Rally For Schwarzenegger, Reacts To Victory
(October 7, 2003) -- Vice Mayor Frank Colonna, who welcomed roughly 1,200 people to the CSULB quad on Sept. 3 for a rally supporting gubernatorial recall candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger, has responded to LBReport.com's request for a comment on Mr. Schwarzenegger's election victory tonight.
Vice Mayor Colonna told us:
I think it's a great day for all the people of the state of California. We have an opportunity to try to bring ourselves up to what our reputation has always stood for, one of the greatest states in the nation, one of the largest economies in the world.
The people believe in a better California and we're going to get there.
At the CSULB rally, Vice Mayor Frank Colonna, a CSULB alumnus, greeted the crowd and drew applause when he said:
"We know why we're here today: to help Arnold become the next Governor of California."
