(October 6, 2006) -- A LB man was shot and killed on Thursday night while standing with friends in front of a residence in the 200 block of E. South St.
LBPD says that at about 11:15 p.m. on October 5, Robert Lee Taylor, 47, of LB was standing with friends in front of a residence when a vehicle drove by and fired multiple rounds at the group, striking Mr. Taylor. Victim Taylor was transported to a local hospital by paramedics and pronounced dead a short time later.
LBPD describes the suspect as a Hispanic male in a smaller mid-size car that was last seen driving away east on South Street. A motive for the shooting and whether the incident is gang-related is still under investigation.
