(Oct. 21, 2007) -- A man mowing the lawn in a NLB neighborhood was shot from a vehicle that drove-by on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 20).
LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt tells LBReport.com that the victim, a man in his 20s, was in front of a residence in the 5900 block of Brayton Ave. (east of Orange Ave., north of South St.) at about 4:00 p.m. when a subject in a dark colored vehicle drove up and fired multiple rounds at him.
The victim was transported to a hospital with wounds described as non-life-threatening.
LBPD is investigating the possibility that what took place may be gang related.
