"We're going to shatter the highest, hardest glass ceiling in America," Gov. Palin said, noting that her Starbucks mocha cup "quote of the day" came from Clinton administration Secretary of State/UN Ambassador, who said 'There's a place in hell reserved for women who don't support other women.' [laugher, loud cheers]"
"Thank you so much for receiving that well," Gov. Palin said, adding "California, let's see what a comment like I just made, how that is turned into whatever it'll be turned into tomorrow in the newspaper."
Gov. Palin was introduced at the rally by Shelley Mandel, President of the L.A. Chapter of the Nat'l Organization for Women. "This is what a feminist looks like," Ms. Mandel said.
LBReport.com Community Correspondent Dan Pressburg was present inside the event...and says the tennis stadium (amphiteater) was filled (13,000 capacity) and an overflow soccer field was about 20% filled (est. 2,000). [CBS2 said Repub officials estimated the crowd at 20,000].
