Long Beach Residents Plan To Urge CA Coastal Comm'n Not To Waive Coastal Development Permit Re City Hall Plan To Demolish Belmont Plaza Pool


(Oct. 8, 2014, UPDATED) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that a number of Long Beach residents plan to appear at this morning's (Oct. 8) Coastal Commission meeting (being held in Laguna Beach) and will urge the state agency not to waive a Coastal Development Permit requirement for City Hall's plan to demolish [and ultimately replace with a new design] the seismically shuttered Belmont Plaza Pool.

UPDATE: The waiver is included in the Deputy Director’s Report (Item 17 of the agenda. [End update]
