LBFD Public Information Officer/Firefighter Jake Heflin says the call came in about 7:49 p.m. Two patients (passenger and driver) were in a Honda Civic that sustained significant passenger space intrusion in the collision and there was also air bag deployment. PIO Heflin says LBFD extricated one of the patients using the "Jaws of Life." Both patients were transported to a hospital as trauma patients. The driver of the other vehicle didn't appear to be injured, PIO Heflin indicated. Units responding were Rescue 18, Rescue 17, Engine 5, Truck 17 and Battalion Chief 3. blog comments powered by Disqus
