Eggs can do permanent damage to a vehicle's paint...and the latest incident apparently wasn't the first. Below are some Wrigley residents' Facebook dispatches:

I don't drive! But they nailed my moms custom paint job on her 89 truck. We sprayed painted it for moms day with flowers stencils and butterflies and a bunch of peace signs. It's getting really bad!

Someone threw an egg at my car in June. Might be the same idiots. I didn't notice it until after the egg had caked on there, so I have permanent damage to my car. Call it in and make sure you get a police report for vandalism. Get noticed, so more patrol is done. The Department cares about crime stats and thats the way to be heard and seen.

Eggs cause serious damage to paint jobs - my poor son had his car for sale and the day his buyer was coming to pay him for the car, it got egged in the night - it ruined his paint job and he lost his buyer. He cried - it was so horrible. People don't realize that this is not just a stupid prank - it RUINS the paint on your car. Get it off as soon as humanly possible - if it dries in the heat you are screwed.

They got our street 2 weeks ago when its was hot. So hard to get off if not taken care of right away. Im on 31 and pacific...

Such an eggregious act of vandalism.
