    Car Drives Into ELB Garage Sale; Police, Paramedics Respond But No One Appears Seriously Injured in Slow Speed Mishap

    ELB garage sale accident Sept. 7/02(Sept. 7, 2002) -- It looked and sounded awful.

    Accident Sept 7/02A car had driven into a Saturday morning garage sale in the 3400 block of Marber Ave. near Bellflower Blvd. and Wardlow Rd.

    Paramedics Sept 7/02LB police and paramedics responded in force but fortunately it turned out to be a slow speed mishap.

    A table and some glassware were injured. No people appeared seriously injured.

    A witness told LBReport.com he saw a woman trying to push back the slow speed approaching car. Some observers said it might be a "pushed gas pedal instead of brake pedal" situation.

    LBPD worked on scene to figure out what happened and people resumed shopping.
