(Sept. 5, 2004) -- Construction has begun on a new, small commercial center on the west side of Belfllower Blvd. south of Spring St. (immediately south of the "Burger King" and across from Cal Worthington Ford).
The site will be home to a 6,600 sq. ft commercial building with three retail businesses, said Mark Salma, Director of Retail Properties for the Bixby Land Co.
"It will be a very attractive building. We've worked closely with the City's Planning Dept. and we had an excellent architect," Mr. Salma said.
Work started on August 30 and is on a 3.5 month construction schedule.
By our rough calculations, that means if the schedule holds, by about Christmas or perhaps soon thereafter, there'll be a new building on the long-vacant site.
Tenants will be announced.
