Murder / Fatal Fri. Nite Shooting, 7th/Chestnut (Willmore City neighborhood, five-seven blocks north of LB Civic Hall / Civic Center)

In a release, LBPD says officers arrived and found Estuaredo Rodriguez, 19, of Long Beach with multiple gunshot wounds. LBFD Paramedics transported him to a hospital where he died of his injuries.

An LBReport.com reader who was in the area says he counted at least seven black-and-white vehicles plus at least one SUV in the area..."and they were still out there at midnight." Our source says an officer on scene indicated there were at least twelve officers on scene.

LBPD says its preliminary investigation indicates that Mr. Rodriguez was walking in the area when he was transported by two subjects. There's no suspect information immediately available. Amotive for the shooting is undetermined at present. LBPD says the shooting is investigated as possibly gang-related.
