(Sept. 4, 2015) -- Customers at a Los Alamitos bank on Katella Ave. (a bit east and across the street from the driveway entering Los Alamitos racetrack) were assaulted with pepper spray by at least two suspects -- one armed and brandishing a handgun. The suspects covered their faces with masks and they entered the bank...BUT surveillance photos captured images of them before they entered the bank (see photos below.) The FBI's Los Angeles office states in a release: [FBI release text] At approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning, the City National Bank at 5252 Katella Avenue in the city of Los Alamitos was robbed by at least two unidentified black male suspects wearing masks. The FBI release says the investigation is being conducted by the Los Alamitos Police Department and members of the Bank Robbery Apprehension Team (BRAT) in Orange County, which includes participation by the FBI and the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
