(Sept. 4, 2015) -- Customers at a Los Alamitos bank on Katella Ave. (a bit east and across the street from the driveway entering Los Alamitos racetrack) were assaulted with pepper spray by at least two suspects -- one armed and brandishing a handgun. The suspects covered their faces with masks and they entered the bank...BUT surveillance photos captured images of them before they entered the bank (see photos below.)

The FBI's Los Angeles office states in a release:

[FBI release text] At approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning, the City National Bank at 5252 Katella Avenue in the city of Los Alamitos was robbed by at least two unidentified black male suspects wearing masks. At least one suspect was armed with a handgun, which the suspect brandished in order to intimidate victims and get them to comply with demands.

The suspects conducted a violent takeover robbery and assaulted multiple victims with pepper spray. The suspects each covered their faces with masks as they entered the bank; however, can be seen without the masks in some of the bank surveillance photographs taken prior to when the suspects entered the bank...

Bank surveillance photographs are attached.

Victims were treated at the scene by members of the Orange County Fire Authority. The suspects were further described as aged in their late 20s or early 30s with slim builds and wearing casual clothing.
