(Sept 25, 2017, 1:30 p.m.) -- The L.A. County Coroner's office lists the Sept. 23 death of Wayne Havron, 53, indicating the place of death was "garage." (LBPD has separately indicated that a woman believed to be his wife was pronounced deceased at a hospital.) Mr. Havron was identified elsewhere as a Captain in the Los Angeles City Fire Dept.

(Sept. 24, 2017, 10:40 a.m.) -- LBPD indicates what appears to be a murder/suicide involving a couple believed to be husband/wife took place on Saturday morning in a gated residential enclave at LB's southeast city limit (east of LB's power plants, south of 2nd St./Westminster Blvd.)

In a Sept. 24 release, LBPD says officers were dispatched at about 10:45 a.m. Saturday September 23, 2017 to investigate a domestic violence call in the 7100 block of Island Village Dr. and found two people at a residence (man and woman, both adults) with apparent gunshot wounds; the man was deceased at the scene; LBFD transported the woman to a hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

Their identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin but they're believed to be husband and wife. LBPD says it recovered a firearm at the location and is ivestigating what occurred as a murder-suicide.
