In general, when the humidity hits 50% or above and the air temp rises above 80 degrees, it produces a "heat index," making it feel hotter than what the air temp shows. LBREPORT.com has a heat index calculator at this link which is also linked on our front page (right column, under our in-motion Doppler Weather Radar image.) To use the Heat Index calculator, first get the current temperature and humidity data (many sources, we use Nat'l Weather Service conditions/hourly readings at LB Airport recorded at :53 into each hour.) Then enter the temperature and humidity in the heat index calculator at this link and click "calculate." LBREPORT.com provides detailed LB weather info -= including continually updated seven day forecasts -- linked 24/7 in the upper right portion of our front page (across from in-motion NWS Doppler Radar thumbnail) -- on LBREPORT.com's front page (right column, near top, across from Doppler Radart thumbnail.)
