Cong. Duncan Hunter Endorses ELB Republican Michael A. Jackson For Assembly

I am proud to announce that Congressman Duncan Hunter has endorsed my candidacy as the Republican nominee for State Assembly in the 54th District. Congressman Hunter, a principled Republican and a true war hero, has served in Congress since 1981. He has admirably served as the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee during the 109th Congress. He served in Vietnam in the Army Rangers 75th Ranger Regiment with the rank of First Lieutenant and was awarded the Bronze Star, Air Medal and service ribbons such as the Vietnam Service Medal. He has said, "I didn't do anything special in the U.S. Army, but I served with very special soldiers I will never forget."

Mr. Jackson, his wife and children, live in ELB.

More recently, Congressman Hunter entered the Republican race for President and was a candidate that conservatives were looking to. Unfortunately, the media was able to marginalize his campaign and he bowed out of the race even though he had won the Texas Straw Poll and was tied for delegates with Rudy Giuliani. Congressman Hunter is not seeking re-election to the House of Representatives, but his son Duncan D. Hunter is currently campaigning for that seat.

This is an exciting time to restore truth and transparency to the Republican Party and I ask you for your support and endorsement to aid in the effort.
