The "Care to Dine 2014" event webpage (link here) says the 19 restaurants listed below have pledged to donate at least 20 percent of diners' tabs to benefit clients of the CARE program, which it says is the "only comprehensive HIV care program in Long Beach and the South Bay." The CARE program's stated mission is to "make high quality health and social services available to HIV/AIDS infected and affected individuals and families in a manner that is professional, compassionate, and recognizes the dignity and autonomy of each individual." Its website says the CARE program "provides an array of programs and services for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, from Medical and Dental Services to Case Management."
