(April 9, 2019, 6:05 a.m.) -- The 7-11 store on Studebaker Rd. at Anaheim Rd. was robbed at gunpoint overnight.

LBPD overnight Watch Commander Gerry Prieto tells LBREPORT.com that at about 1:53 a.m. April 9, about 4-5 males -- wearing masks and one armed with a handgun -- robbed the business at 1190 Studebaker Rd. The loss was cigarettes.

On Feb. 9, the 7-11 on Palo Verde Ave at Atherton Street was vicitmized by an armed robbery at about 2:20 a.m. when three suspects -- one with a short-barreled shotgun and another wielding a knife -- took roughly $200 while an accomplice waited in a nearby getaway car. (In that case, a CSULB police officer happened to be driving by the 7-11, spotted the two suspects heading into the getaway car on Atherton St., pursued the vehicle onto campus where the suspects crashed near the Parkside dorms and fled. .
