(April 22, 2019, 6:45 a.m., updated 1:48 p.m.) -- In the 11 p.m. hour Sunday night (April 21), someone fired shots inside a residence in North Alamitos Beach (north of 4th St., east of Orange Ave., 2nd Council district) but it appears the rounds didn't strike any persons.
LBPD Watch Commander Michael Richens told LBREPORT.com that officers were sent to the 400 block of Almond Ave. after a caller(s) reported hearing shots...and officers found that a building had been hit by gunfire. LBPD Public Information Officer Shaunna Dandoy later clarified that the shooting was inside a residence. LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
