(April 25, 2019) -- Another LB shooting after an argument heard, followed by shots fired, striking a building and unoccupied vehicle with no person(s) reported hit, this time in the 1000 block of Cerrtios Ave. (6th dist.)

It's the second 6th district shooting within five days after an argument was heard, followed by shots fired with no persons reported hit.

LBPD Public Information Officer Jennifer De Prez tells LBREPORT.com that at about 8:30 p.m. officers responed to the 1000 block of Orange Ave. regaring a shots call, located a calling-party who reported hearing an argument outside his residence followed by the sounds of shots fired. A block west in the 1000 block of Cerritos Ave., officers found strike marks on a residence and an uninhabited vehicle.

It's the second 6th district shooting following some type of argument within the past five days. On April 20th in the area of MLK/19th St. (north of PCH) a verbal dispute was followed by shots fired at a parked unoccupied vehicle (no persons hit.)

As in the prior shooting, no persons were reported hit, no suspect information...and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.

It's the third shooting within a week in Central LB with others in recent weeks in the general same area or not far away.

  • On April 18, a man was shot/wounded minutes shortly before midnight in a drive-bn shooting in the 800 block of Alamitos Ave. (1st district)

  • On April 15 or early a.m. April 16, a man (adult) reported he was shot/wounded while riding westbound on Anaheim St. approaching Obispo Ave. (a couple of blocks west of Redondo Ave.)

  • On March 26, shots were fired with casings found in the 2300 block of E. 17th (near Junipero Ave. just south of PCH, 4th dist.) but no person appeared to have been hit..

  • On February 28, a man (adult) was shot/wounded din the aera of LB Blvd/20th St.

  • And also Feb. 28, a boy (age 17) was shot and killed and a woman was wounded by someone firing from a car driving through an alley in the area of 11th St./Lewis Ave. (6th dist.)
