  • 566 LB residents have tested positive to date for COVID-19. roughly 323 of them have recovered. CAVEAT: Actual positives may be roughly 40 times higher based on recent LA County random test. Unlike Riverside County, LB doesn't (yet) routinely offer tests to persons who haven't shown symptoms However Mayor Garcia indicated at an Apr. 24 briefing that LB is starting to shift to testing persons not showing symptoms, esp. at long term care facilities (a policy consistent with recently announced LA County policy.)

  • 172 of those testing positive (including residents and staff) have been at eight LB long-term care facilities (total includes active cases, cleared cases and fatalities. )

  • No additional deaths reported (total remains 29)
