(April 22, 2020, 11:55 a.m.) -- Following-up on our initial report yesterday, LBREPORT.com has learned that the man (adult) found by LBPD yesterday (April 21) with multiple puncture wounds to his torso in an alley in the 2200 block of Clark Ave. had wounds caused by a pellet gun. As previously indicated, LBPFD transported him to a hospital in critical condition.

LBPD Public Information Officer/PD Officer Ivan Garcia tells LBREPORT.com today (April 22) that officers located, arrested and booked Troy Hardy, 25, of Long Beach on suspicion of attempted murder.

PIO Garcia says LBPD's preliminary investigation indicates the victim and the arrestee were involved in a verbal dispute prior to the victim being shot. Detectives expect to present the case to the LA County District Attorney's office in the next few days (the DA's office decides what to do next.). .

(Initial report April 21, 2020, 7:25 p.m.) -- Initial information is sketchy but LBREPORT.com has confirmed that shortly before noon today (April 21), LBPD found a man with multiple puncture wounds to his upper torso in an alley to the rear of the 2200 block of Clark Ave. (north of Los Coyotes Diagonal and Stearns St.)

LBFD Officer/Public Information Officer Ivan Garcia tells LBREPORT.com that LBFD transported the victim to a hospital where (as of laye afternoon) he was listed in critical condition.

PIO Garcia says Violent Crimes Detectives were notified and responded; the cause of the puncture wounds is currently being investigated and as of late afternoon officers have a person of interest detained.
