(April 30, 2020, updated 12:20 p.m. from initial 6:15 a.m.) -- In the public interest, LBREPORT.com publishes below the information sought by the City of Long Beach from residents who choose to participate in a City-conducted "Reopen Long Beach Survey." The City has begun soliciting participation using City-operated social network channels, the City's website and mass emailings from Mayor Garcia and some Councilmembers. .

It's not immediately clear who'll have access to the information provided or how the questions asked and information provided are relevant to how the City will pursue its "reopening." [April 30 12:20 p.m. UPDATE: In response to an inquiry from us, the City's Joint Information Center says "the results of the survey will be reported to the City Council, City officials, and appropriate City staff as necessary."] END UPDATE

The LB City Attorney's office has acknowledged that the City is limited in what it can/can't do by Governor Newsom's "Stay At Home" and other Executive Orders (LBREPORT.com >coverage here.) Mayor Garcia has similarly indicated that while the Governor will decide the timeline for reopenings ("based on science" the Governor and the Mayor say), the City will decide how best to implement LB reopenings within state parameters and guidelines.

The "surbey" opens with this introductory text:

The City of Long Beach is seeking input from residents and business owners about reopening the Long Beach economy once the Governor’s order indicates it is safe to do so. Your feedback will be used to help decision makers set priorities about how to safely reopen the city for business and leisure activities. Your contact information may only be used for follow-up questions from City staff if needed.

The deadline to submit your survey responses is by Monday, May 4, 2020 at 5:00PM (PDT)

Below are the City-survey questions asked.
