Lt. Ryan Watson says (in preliminary information with the details still under investigation) that at about 7:15 p.m. on April 16, officers responded to a calling party who stated that someone had been shot at the 1000 block of Myrtle Ave..

Officers didn't find a victim on scene but subsequently located an involved-man (adult) at a local hospital. The victim was last listed in stable condition. The suspect was described as a male Black wearing a hooded sweatshirt who got away in a dark colored SUV (from which the shots were fired) that fled westbound on 10th St. Gang detectives are investigating the incident.

As previously reported by LBREPORT.com, on April 12 a shooting in the 2200 block of Myrtle Avenue left casings indicating a shooting had occurred.
