    Three Robbers Enter NLB Home at 4:45 a.m., Shoot Its Three Residents, Steal Goods & Drive Off; One Resident Dies, Two Wounded But Survive

    (August 7, 2003) -- LBPD reports a sickening crime took place at about 4:45 a.m. on August 6 when three suspects entered a home in the 300 block of East 55th St. and shot its three residents while committing a robbery.

    19-year old Paul Mendez of LB died. A 32-year old man and a 43-year old woman were wounded but are expected to survive.

    Police say the three suspects left the residence in the 8th Council district with an undisclosed amount of loss and were last seen driving away in a dark colored sedan.
