(August 29, 2020, 1:25 p.m.) -- Three men were the victims of a walk-up attempted robbery/shooting last night (Aug. 28) in the 1000 block of Myrtle Ave. (6th dist./Andrews) One of the three men was struck/wounded by gunfire; the bullets missed the other two.

LHPD Media Relations detail Administrator Karen Owens says (preliminary information) that on Aug. 28 at about 9:10 p.m., officers were sent to the 1000 block of Myrtle Ave. regarding a shooting. They found a man (adult) with a gunshot wound and located two additional vitims (both men/adults) who weren't struck by the gunfire. LBFD transported the wounded man to a hospital; his condition is described as non-life-threatening. .

LBPD's preliminary information indicates that the three victims were standing on the sidewalk when two men (adults) walked up to them and attempted to rob them. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and began firing at the victims. The suspects were last seen running from the scene in an unknown direction.
