(August 29, 2021, 2:30 p.m.) -- A man says he was shot/wounded in an overnight downtown drive-by shooting today (Aug. 29) in the 200 block of north Pine Ave. (CD 2/Allen.)

LBPD PIO//Police Officer Daisy Paul says that on Aug. 29 at roughly 3:13 a.m., officers were sent to a local hospital regarding a gunshot victim and contacted a man (adult) who susained a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The 30-year-old victim said he was walking to his vehicle in the 200 block of north Pine Avenue when he was shot-at by a passing vehicle. The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.

PIO Paul says "the victim was uncooperative and did not provide suspect information." A crime scene wasn't located and the motive is unknown.

The DTLB area shooting comes after two shooting crime scenes within three hours in CD8/Austin in the area "north of the RR tracks" west of Long Beach Blvd.

The three Aug. 28-29 shootings come a day after Aug. 27 gunfire in the 1400 block of Santa Fe Ave. (CD1/Zendejas) that left a man wounded as a result of a suspect firing shots into the air.
