(August 28, 2021, 10:50 a.m.) -- A man (adult) was struck/wounded by gunfire last night (Aug. 27) from a suspect shooting into the air near the 1400 block of Santa Fe Ave. (a block north of Anaheim St., CD1/Zendejas.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Allison Gallagher says that on Aug. 27 at roughly 10:10 p.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of Santa Fe regarding a man (adult) firing into the air. Officers found evidence of the shooting (casings) but didn't locate the suspect.

Police dispatch advised that a man (adult) struck by gunfire was dropped off at a local hospital. Additional officers responded to the hospital and contacted the victim who said the shooting occurred near 14th/Santa Fe. Suspect and motive currently unknown.
