Dec. 4 Midmorning NLB Gunfire, Man Is Shot/Wounded 6000 Block Atlantic Ave. (Roughly Two Blocks North of Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library)

(Dec. 4, 2018, 12:08 p.m.) -- A man (adult) was shot/wounded at midmorning today (Dec. 4) along busy Atlantic Ave. in North Long Beach, roughly two blocks north of Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library (9th Council district.)

Initial information via LBPD PIO Jason Lehman indicates officers responded to the 6000 block of Atlantic Ave. at about 9:00 a.m. and found a man (adult) wounded by gunfire. LBFD transported him to a hospital with what are considered non-life-threatening wounds. There's no suspect(s) description immediately available and the motive is under investigation.
