(December 2, 2020) -- In the FIFTH Wrigley and Wrigley-adjacent Central LB shootings in less than a week, at least one of two suspects fired shots at a man seated in his vehicle, who initially fled but then pursued his attackers into a traffic collision at Wardlow/Magnolia where at least one of the suspects allegedly shot him to death.
In a release, LBPD states that at about 7:25 a.m. on Dec. 1, officers were sent to the 3500 block of Eucalyptus Avenue regarding a reported shooting, with some callers also reported a shooting at Wardlow/Magnolia. [LBPD release text] Officers arrived on scene at both locations and discovered two separate shooting scenes. In the intersection of Wardlow Road and Magnolia Avenue, an officer located a victim who was non-responsive in this vehicle. The officer performed life-saving measures until the Long Beach Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital with gunshot wounds to the upper torso, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
