(December 13, 2020, 2:25 p.m.) -- A man was shot/wounded last night (Dec. 12) who said he was standing on the sidewalk in the area of PCH/Daisy Ave. (CD 6) at about 11:15 p.m. when three men (adults) approached him, shot at him and fled the scene on foot.

LBFD transported the victim to a hospital with gunshot wounds to his upper and lower torso; at that time he was in critical condition.

LBPD says a motive for the shootings is unknown and its investigation is ongoing.

The shooting -- just down the street from where the neighborhood usually has its "Daisy Lane Chritmas Parade" -- is the third Central LB area shooting within as many days. That total now also includes a homicide: the Dec. 11 shooting near Drake Park, LBREPORT.com coverage here.).

Less than 24 hours later on December 12, a man was shot/wounded in the area of Anaheim St./Chestnut Ave at the northern edge of the Willmore City historic district (CD 1) (LBREPORT.com coverage here.)

By way of context, less than ten days ago, on December 3, 2020, a man was shot/wounded in Drake Park

Earlier this year on Feb. 4, 2020, a 16 year old boy was shot/wounded in the 900 block of Maine Ave..and two days earlier on Feb. 2, 2020, a 20 year old man and a 16-year old girl were shot/wounded in the 900 block of Park Circle (and said the suspects tried to rob them.)
