(December 31, 2020, 4:55 a.m.) -- LB's Veterans Park (100 E. 28th St., border CD 6/CD 7, Saro/Uranga) has had two shootings within ten days. This time it was a drive-by in which two men (adults) told police they were in the park at about 11:15 p.m. on December 29 when unknown suspects in a dark colored sedan drove by, fired shots, and fled the scene.

Two vehicles were struck by gunfire but no persons were hit.

As previously repported by LBREPORT.com, on December 19, a man was shot/wounded at about 9 p.m. in Veterans Park

Those shootings come roughly a month after a November 27 shooting in which gunfire struck a building in the 200 block of E. 29th St. (CD6 between LB Blvd. and Veterans Park.)
