(Feb 13, 2019, 10:04 a.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has learned of an especially disturbing "no person hit" shooting in LB's 1st Council district. Two victims (ages undisclosed) were skateboarding roughly two blocks NE of Drake Park in the Willmore City neighborhood when they were confronted by two men (adults) armed with guns who fired on them, then fled. The rounds missed hitting the intended victims [it could have ended with either one or two homicides] but struck (and we presume damaged) a nearby vehicle. The shooters fled in a vehicle and remain at large.

This all happened on Saturday night Feb. 10 at about 8:15 p.m. in area of the Loma Vista Dr./11th St.

LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Vincent Otto says a victim [age not indicated] stated he was skateboarding with a friend in the area of the 1100 block of Loma Vista when he was confronted by two men (adults) armed with guns...who fired shots at the victims and fled the scene in a vehicle (described only as a sedan.) Officers confirmed the shooting by finding casings at the crime scene (Loma Vista/11th) and discovered that a parked vehicle was struck (we presume damaged) by the gunfire.

Only one victim remained behind to report the incident; the victim's friend left the scene prior to officers' arrival.

LBPD Gang Detectives responded [and LBREPORT.com has separately learned routinely respond to all non-fatal shootings] and the investigation is ongoing.
