(Feb 23, 2019, 10:35 p.m.) -- Approaching roughly 24 hours after a shooting in their city, the Signal Hill Police Department has provided nearly no details of what took place in the area of Wardlow Rd./Orange Ave. (near LB border's with Signal Hill) on Friday night (Feb. 22) or early Saturday morning (Feb. 23.)

SHPD hasn't provided us with the time of the shooting, whether it took place inside or outside a business, the general circumstances of the shooting, condition of the victim and suspect description (if there is any.)

Messages left throughout the day (Feb. 23) with SHPD's Watch Commander's office weren't returned. Nearly 18 hours after the shooting LBREPORT.com managed to reach a Sergeant who confirmed the shooting in the area of Wardlow/Orange, indicated he hadn't been briefed on details but indicated an officer familiar with the case had just stepped out and would contact us in a few minutes...and we never heard from him.
