(Feb. 8, 2020, 9:50 p.m.) -- A man (adult) was shot/wounded in the 7 p.m. hour on Saturday Feb. 8 in the neighborhood just north of Anaheim St. and east of Cherry Ave. (western portion of 4th Council district.)
Initial information is sketchy. LBPD Watch Commander Lt. Robert Bernsen tells LBREPORT.com that at about 7:37 p.m., officers were sent to the 1400 block of St. Louis Ave. and found a man (adult) with a gunshot wound; LBPD transported the victim to a hospital for treatment; LBPD detectives are investigating; a motive isn't immediately known.
On Dec. 29, the western part of the 4th district had a double-victim shooting in the 2300 block of E. 14th St. (a few blocks east of the Feb. 8 crime scene) in which one of the victims died (one of the 4th district's two 2019 homicides.)
