Bullet Flies Into Occupied Church, 4100 block Cherry Ave. (just north of Carson St.)

(Feb. 15, 2021) -- A bullet flew into an occupied church on Feb. 12 in the 4100 block of Cherry Ave. (just north of Carson St, CD 7/Uranga).

There are two adjcent churches in that block; LBPD didnt indicate which church was impacted.

LBPD Public Information Officer Allison Gallagher says the calling party called from inside the building and said a bullet came through the wall.

"Detectives do not believe this incident is related to the building and that the building was not the intended target," PIO Gallagher said.

No injuries were reported and LBPD's investigation is ongoing. .
