(Feb. 15, 2021) -- A man was shot/wounded, and a woman was injured (the nature of her wound not immediately clear) in a Feb 14 shooting in downtown Long Beach (CD 1/Zendejas.) The crime scene is roughly six bkocks north of the NE corner of LB's new Civic Center.

LBPD overnight Watch Commander Lt. Eric Matusak tells LBREPORT.com (preliminary information) that at about 10:10 p.m. officers repnded to the 600 block of Pacific Ave. regarding a shooting and found a man (adult) with a gunshot wound and a woman (adult) with an unknown type of wound (not immediately clear if it's from a shooting). Both were taken to a hospitakl in staboe cohndition.

The suspect is outstanding and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
