(Jan. 19, 2019, 9:35 a.m.) -- At about dawn and for at least two hours, LB Firefighters battled a stubborn blaze in an attic at "Islands" in ELB's Towne Center. LBFD Public Information Officer Brian Fisk confirms it went to a 4th alarm [in part because the attic blaze might weaken rooftop areas, a real risk for deployed firefighters.]

No injuries were reported. Firefighters appeared to be gaining the upper hand in the 7 a.m. hour and some of the deployed resources were released in the 8 a.m. hour.

LBREPORT.com also noticed a drone flying overhead...and LBFD confirmed that this fire was its first use of a piloted drone to assist in fighting the blaze. (Look closely at the sky in first photo to see the drone overhead.)
