(Jan. 25, 2019, 6:25 p.m.) -- LBFD has released video from its piloted drone at the LBFD says in a Facebook dispatch that its use of UAV ("Unmanned Aerial Vehicle") technology enhanced firefighting capabilities on scene "giving Incident Commanders real time information on changing conditions that allowed them to change fire ground tactics accordingly."
LBREPORT.com spotted the drone and captured photos of it at the scene. When we inquired about it, LBFD told us it was its first use of a piloted drone in fighting a fire. Photo one below shows the drone in the air. Photo two shows it landing on the ground. [Scroll down for further] |
