(Jan. 20, 2020, 1:45 p.m.) -- A man and woman exiting their vehicle in the 4200 block of Country Club Drive (Los Cerritos/Virginia County Club area) last night (Jan. 19) were robbed and injured in the robbery. They lost a wallet and a phone and LBPD says the weapon used was a BB gun.

LBPD Public Information Officer Jennifer De Prez tells LBREPORT.com that at about 11:40 p.m. on Jan. 19, officers responded to the 4200 block of Country Club Drive (8th Council district) where a man and woman were robbed while exiting their vehicle. Their reported loss was a a wallet and a phone and both victims were physically injured. LBFD treated the man at the scene and took the woman to a hospital.

LBPD says it was later determined that the weapon used during the robbery was a BB gun.

The suspect fled and was gone before LBPD arrived.
