(January 10, 2021, 3:10 p.m.) -- A woman was shot/wounded at predawn Sunday (Dec. 10) as she rode her bike in the 100 block W. Del Amo Blvd. (at roughly Pacific Ave.,CD 8/Austin) at about 4:20 a.m.

LBPD Public Information Officer Allison Gallagher says officers responded to a shots-call in the area, found a woman (adult) with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and determined that she was riding her bike when she approached by an unknown man (adult) who shot her and fled the scene.

LBFD took the victim to a hospital in stable condition; officers found evidence, including bullet casings; for now there's no known motive, no suspect description and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.

It's LB's 11th shooting since Jan. 1 (LBREPORT.com has a shooting dashboard on our front page at this link.)
