(January 13, 2021, 4:05 p.m.) -- As streamed LIVE on LBREPORT.com's front page and Facebook page, the House of Representatives voted (announced tally) 232-197 -- with 10 Republicans joining all Democrats in voting "yes" to adopt H Res 24 impeaching President Trump.

The single Article of Impeachment states in pertinent part:

"President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of Government. He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transition of power, and imperiled a coequal branch of Government. He thereby betrayed his trust as President, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States. Wherefore, Donald John Trump, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security, democracy, and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office, and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law. Donald John Trump thus warrants impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States."

The 10 Repubs who voted for Impeachment were Congressmembes Cheney, Gonzalez (OH), Herrera Beutler, Katko, Kinzinger, Meijer, Newhouse, Rice (SC), Uptom, Vslsfso. Four Republicans wee recorded as "not voting": Ganger, Harris, Murphy (NC) and Wenster (FL).

Newly elected Congresswoman Michelle Steel (R, Huntington Beach), who announced last week she's tested positive for COVID-19 and last night (Jan. 12) was recorded as "not voting" on removing President Trump via the 25th Amendment, today (Jan, 13) voted "no" on impeachment using the House proxy voting procedure (commonly used by many members.) .

The House vote makes President Trump the only U.S. president impeached twice by the House of Representatives. What happens next in the U.S. Senate is currently unclear. Under current Republican majority control, the Senate isn't currently scheduled to reconvene until Jan. 19...but that could change. And in the coming days, Senate majority control will flip to 50-50 (when votes are certified for two Dem Senators elected from Georgia) with incoming VP Harris able to break a tie vote. C-SPAN on-demand video will follow House adjournment.
